Wednesday: Dubai!!! We're making this a weekly thing:)
Woke up and had breakfast buffet at Intercontinental. It was almost the same as our buffet but with pork! Now, I'm not a huge bacon eater but it was nice to indulge for once. Had some green tea and then off to the car.
Driving to Dubai, I found out about speed boxes. They are on the side of the road every so often and it looks just like an electricity box but has a camera sticking out. They are serious about speeding as the car starts beeping at you if you get to 120km. Not mph here. Julie did a great job getting us there so I applaud her!!! I'm still a little scared to get behind the wheel with all of the roundabouts, speeders, cut-offs and no overpasses to get to the other side of the highway. We got a little lost at first but finally made it Palm Jumeriah, where Jen's cousin Brittany lives. Each palm is an area of villas. These villas or houses are extremely nice and expensive. Her backyard is the beach:)

The water is beautiful but warm right now so we will def come back when it cools off a little.
We left to shop at Karama. To me, this area was similar to Chinatown in New York but not at all. The "secret" rooms were filled with "genuine fake" bags - Louis, Hermes, Coach, Tory, Michael Kors, all the top brands and to be honest you couldn't tell the difference ( I checked them on the Internet). My purchases: Tory Burch purse and matching wallet (also use as a clutch), Tory Burch flop sandals, and a Cartier watch (hadn't planned on buying this but the guy was so friendly and I love rose gold so I splurged...my birthday is next week so that was my main excuse). But...Maria helped us out by getting the guy to lower the price! Thanks Maria! All of this for less than $200! They also had fake Christian Louboutin, Manolos, and Jimmy Choo. I tried on the pair of blue Manolos that Carrie had put in the penthouse closet in Sex in the City. I was so tempted to buy these beautiful shoes but one day maybe I can afford the real thing!
After an afternoon of shopping, we went to Emirates Mall to eat at Baja Fresh and see the Ski Dubai. This mall was impressive! The food court was packed!! It's like people don't work here, they just shop:)
Pictures of Ski Dubai for Marisa:) We didn't go ski today but just looked at it from inside the Emirates Mall. It was packed inside but looked like so much fun!

All the skiers!! They provide all of your equipment except gloves.
Christmas tree in the middle. Reminded me of the fact that I'm coming home for Christmas!!! But this place would be nice to get me in the spirit with the snow and fireplace:)
