Me Day!

Thursday: This morning, I met up with Christa at La Brioche in the Marina Mall!  Christa and I grew up in Lake Charles.  I found out before I left that she was here so I got in touch with her through Facebook!  She was so helpful and the cutest tiny pregnant woman ever!!!  She told me all about her experiences and most importantly, where to shop!  Since furniture and appliances are on my mind as rumor is we are moving out of the hotel next week, she told me about a few places to get things cheap and nice.  She mentioned the Iranian souk, which I just realized was the one I passed by the other day on the Big Bus Tour.  She said I could get my pots, pans, plates, ice chest, and all of that here.  Then, down the road from the Souk is Shadows.  She had her headboard made here.  Christa just showed them a picture of what she wanted and then picked out the fabric.  Another store she mentioned was Debaj Furniture.  They have rugs and nice wood furniture but at good prices.  I think Martha and I are going to see if these places are open tomorrow (because it is Holy Day).  Christa was such a help as it was SO nice to see a familiar face across the world!  I truly appreciate it!

Next, I took a cab back to the hotel and went and picked up my laundry.  $177 Dhm and all of the clothes were put on hangers - worth the money!  I am wondering if they dry cleaned all of my clothes, as even my t-shirts and pajamas were on hangers.

They placed all of my socks individually in these bags.  

While I was in the mall, I stopped at The One and took pictures of the furniture I want to see if it can be made Shadows.  Here are a few pics:
