Tuesday: Today, I declared a Me day and just relaxed in my room all day and caught up on some sleep:) So, I won't blog on that!
At night, Julie, Justine, Maria and Jen picked me up from the hotel as they rented a car to take us to Dubai tomorrow. It was a cute white Toyota Camry that fit the five of us snug:) We went back to the Intercontinental to drop off my bags (I was staying the night with Justine so we could leave early in the AM for Dubai). They got dressed to impress and off we went for Ladies Night at Hemingway's in the Hilton Abu Dhabi. I had been looking forward to this night since we first heard about it the week before. Apparently it is a hot spot for Ex-Pats. Well I made a nice entrance as I missed the small step coming down into it and fell to the floor...yes, you heard me! In my defense, I had on some high, but yet stylish, heels that I hadn't walked in over one month:) I got right back up and checked to see if anyone, besides the hotel lady and of course Jen and Julie, had seen the fall. No one, thank goodness! But I laughed at myself as I'm sure the visual was entertaining (sorry, no video of this). We found a table next to the bar for us to sit and have some nachos and slushies (they were like a fruit punch margarita). The ladies drank these free all night. We listened to the band (not as good as the night before) and people watched. We had a good time but called it a night pretty early to get ready for Dubai the next day. Thanks Justine for taking me in and the nice conversation. I hope we get what we came here for - an adventure:)
